World Vegan Day

World Vegan Day is an annual event celebrated by vegans around the world on 1st November. The Day was established in 1994 by Louise Wallis, a DJ, singer and writer who is known for her animal advocacy, who was then President & Chair of The Vegan Society in the United Kingdom. The event was created to commemorate The Vegan Society’s 50th anniversary and in 2014 to celebrate the 70th anniversary of the term ‘vegan’ and ‘veganism’, along with the establishment of The Vegan Society.

On this day Vegans around the world join together to celebrate animal rights. Animal advocates hold street stalls about veganism, host vegan potluck events and plant memorial trees for World Vegan Day.

At Montezuma’s we have a large following of vegan customers and support many vegan events around the country. We have over 30 different vegan products in our range including our delicious Vegan Truffle Collection which is a beautiful box of organic truffles. The taste, texture and colour of these truffles would fool most people into thinking that they were conventionally made with butter and cream, but rest assured no dairy ingredients have been used in the making of these wonderful chocolates.

Another Vegan favourite is our best selling Bean Machine 100g Bar. Our Co-founder, Simon Pattinson says ‘Get a double feel good hit from the coffee and dark chocolate!  Don’t blame us if you can’t sleep at night however…’

As well as our core range of Vegan Chocolates we are also keen to include Vegan products into our seasonal ranges. This year is no different and we are pleased to welcome back our best selling Organic & Vegan Dark Chocolate Advent Calendar and introduce the wonderfully warming Ginger and Orange Drinking Chocolate.
