We love Winchester! We're really proud that one of our five stores is located in the beautiful Hampshire city.
Winchester really comes to life at Christmas and is well known for its exceptional Christmas market, in addition to its beautiful cathedral and stunning surroundings.

Here's a few reasons why we think you're going to love visiting Winchester this Christmas.

Fun Fact

Winchester was the first capital of Britain before London and encompasses 3 main parts of the state - church, law and military.

Things to see

The Cathedral is a must for its grandeur and great Christmas market set in the grounds with many delicious food stools, gifting and outdoor Ice rink (open from the 17th November). The Buttercross (right next to our shop) is a popular landmark and good place to meet. You could visit Arthurs round table at the top of town, or the old City Mill (national trust) at the bottom of town if you wanted to get some more history  of the place.

Eat & Drink

We have lots of lovely independent coffee shops who serve great coffee. Flat whites are a favorite of our team with a coffee van near the Cathedral and small shop/cafe on Parchment street - I vote the best coffee in town. Other great ones to try are Coffee Lab and Hoxton bakery for coffee, for food try Forte Kitchen, the Dispensary Kitchen, Toms, or Rawberry (for a great Vegan range).

Love Local

The Hambledon is a local shop with a bit of everything - clothes, books, house goods etc, or take a stroll down Parchment Street to visit some independent shops specializing in gifts, wine, books, house goods and more.

If that isn't reason enough, we have a Norman Wall within our shop which is one of the last remaining parts of a palace that William the Conqueror built in Winchester! As well as some incredible Tudor Beams from reclaimed wood from ships. Anyone is welcome to pop by to see our historic building and sample our delicious chocolate.
