Bake Along with Bake Off: Deep, Dark & Delicious Fitzroy Brownies
The tent is back. The oven gloves are out. And as another series of Bake Off arrives on our screens this September, we're celebrating with a brownie recipe that's gloriously simple, unapologetically chocolatey, and packed full of character.
The Secret Ingredient?🍫
Montezuma's Fitzroy 74% Dark Chocolate.
Fitzroy isn't your average dark chocolate. It's bold, rich, smooth and organic, with a wonderfully intense cocoa flavour that shines through in every bite. If you're looking to elevate your home baking from "that's nice" to "can I have the recipe?", this is the bar to reach for.
Whether you're settling in for Bake Off night, baking for friends, or simply using chocolate as a perfectly valid excuse for turning the oven on, these fudgy brownies are guaranteed to steal the show.

Why Fitzroy Makes Better Brownies
A brownie lives or dies by its chocolate.
That's why we've swapped ordinary baking chocolate for Fitzroy 74% Dark Chocolate, our organic dark chocolate bar that's packed with rich cocoa notes and a satisfyingly smooth finish.
The result?
· Deep chocolate flavour with real cocoa intensity
· A rich, fudgy texture
· Less sweetness, more chocolate
· Brownies that taste decidedly grown up
In short, everything you want from a proper dark chocolate brownie.
Star Baker Tips⭐
Don't Overmix
Once you've added the ingredients together, mix only until combined. Overworking the batter can make brownies lighter and cake-like, rather than dense and fudgy.
Cool Before Cutting
We know. Waiting is difficult. But allowing brownies to cool fully helps them set and gives you those perfectly clean, bakery-worthy slices.
Add a Seasonal Twist
Feeling inspired by the signature challenges in the tent? Add a handful of Morello cherries and switch to Montezuma Black Forest Cherry Dark Chocolate to the mixture before baking. The tart fruit pairs beautifully with the deep cocoa notes.
