Ingredients:
- 150g butter
- 240g dark giant chocolate buttons (2 bags)
- 3 eggs
- 250g caster sugar
- 60g plain flour
- 10g cocoa powder
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 50g milk chocolate buttons
- 50g blondie chocolate buttons
- 50g white chocolate buttons
- Optional: If you don’t have chocolate buttons, use any chocolate bars you have and smash them up! For an even bigger batch, grab our Couverture for next-level chocolate richness!
Equipment:
- 10x8 inch baking tin (lined with parchment paper)
- Mixing bowl
- Whisk
- Sieve
- Spoon or spatula
Method:
- Melt the Butter & Dark Chocolate
In a heatproof bowl, melt the butter and dark giant chocolate buttons together. You can do this in the microwave in short bursts, stirring in between, or on a double boiler over simmering water. Stir until smooth and fully combined. - Whisk the Eggs & Sugar
In a separate bowl, whisk together the eggs and caster sugar until the mixture becomes light and fluffy. - Add the Flour & Cocoa
Sieve the plain flour and cocoa powder into the egg and sugar mixture. Stir until well combined and smooth. - Add Salt
Sprinkle in the salt and mix well. This will help balance the sweetness and bring out the depth of the chocolate. - Fold in the Melted Chocolate
Gently fold the melted chocolate and butter mixture into the dry ingredients. Be careful not to overmix, just fold until everything is combined. - Add Your Chocolate Buttons
Now for the fun part! Add your milk, blondie, and white chocolate buttons to the brownie mix. Give them a gentle fold to evenly distribute the chocolate.
Pro Tip: If you're feeling adventurous or don’t have buttons, chop up any chocolate bars you have on hand. - Pour into the Tin
Pour your brownie batter into the lined 10x8-inch baking tin. Spread it evenly with a spatula. - Bake to Perfection
Pop your brownies into a preheated oven at 180°C (160°C fan) or 350°F for 20-25 minutes. The top should look set and slightly cracked, but the middle will still be soft and fudgy.
Tip: For the ultimate brownie experience, aim for a slight wobble in the centre when you tap the tin. The residual heat will continue cooking it to perfection. - Cool and Serve
Allow the brownies to cool in the tin for 10-15 minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely. Once cooled, cut into squares and enjoy the triple chocolate goodness!
Bonus Tip: For an extra touch, drizzle some melted chocolate on top of your brownies to create a gooey, chocolatey topping that’s sure to impress.
