Colour Run Fun

We did it!

We did it! On Saturday 12th May, 22 of Team Monty’s headed to Brighton Racecourse to take part in the Colour Obstacle Rush!

Naturally, it was the only rainy day in about two weeks, but we didn’t let the weather dampen our spirits! Half of the team hopped in to the Monty’s party bus (appropriately named by Helen), and the other half were too embarrassed to drive with us, so they made their own way there (can’t say we blame them).

Once we got over the rubbish weather, we embraced the slippery grass and mud, and started queuing for the first obstacle; a bouncy castle we had to run across whilst other runners who were queuing up for the obstacle got the chance to attack is with foam balls. The rest of the obstacles pretty much followed suit.

The definite highlight was a group of girls singing happy birthday to us half way around the course (they knew from our tshirts).

We had such a great time! It was lovely to get to know some of our colleagues a bit better, whilst having a great day AND raising money for our favourite charity, Children on the edge!

So what’s our next challenge I hear you asking? Some of Team Monty’s will be taking part in Tough Mudder and the Chichester Half Marathon later in the year!
